How RF microneedling works

RF microneedling combines two technologies: microneedles that create channels in the dermis, and radiofrequency energy that heats tissue at a controlled depth. Unlike pure microneedling (needles only) or ablative laser (surface heat only), RF microneedling works deep in the dermis with minimal damage to the epidermis. This triggers new collagen and elastin synthesis, tightens skin and improves texture. Morpheus8 (InMode), Megapixel HD (Alma) and Legato (Alma) implement this principle differently — primarily in needle count, depth, RF delivery mode and cooling.

No — we don't use a standalone InMode Morpheus8 platform. For RF microneedling at Paramed we run Alma Megapixel HD (general rejuvenation and remodeling) and Alma Legato (scars and stretch marks). The underlying principle is the same: fractional RF via microneedles.

? Which is better — Morpheus8 or Megapixel HD? ⌄

? Is RF microneedling safe on dark skin? ⌄

Yes — RF microneedling (including Morpheus8 and Megapixel HD) is safe on darker phototypes (IV–VI) because RF energy doesn't depend on skin melanin, unlike laser. This is one of the key advantages of the method.

? How many RF microneedling sessions are needed? ⌄

Usually 3–5 sessions at 4–6 week intervals. Exact count depends on the goal: general rejuvenation — 3–4, scars — 4–6, stretch marks — 5–8.
